The Baku Music Academy will welcome Dmitry Sitkovetsky, an internationally acclaimed violinist, conductor and educator born in Baku, for a special masterclass.
A first-prize winner of the 1979 International Fritz Kreisler Violin Competition in Vienna, Sitkovetsky has enjoyed a distinguished career performing with leading orchestras around the world and making more than 40 recordings. He is also celebrated for his groundbreaking work as a transcriber, particularly his acclaimed arrangement of J. S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations for string trio.
For Sitkovetsky, music is as much about listening, curiosity and discovery as it is about technique. This masterclass offers students a rare opportunity to work directly with an artist whose experience spans the concert stage, the conductor’s podium and the classroom.
Don’t miss this opportunity to join a conversation about the violin, music and everything that happens between the notes.
Admission is free.
